Cappadocia is a historical and beautiful region of central Turkey famous for its fairy-tale landscape, cave houses, extraordinary rock formations and hundreds of hot air balloons that float in the sky every morning at sunrise.

There are also so many great hiking trails in Cappadocia that it will take you at least a week to explore all the various hiking trails in the area. You can have touring all the hiking trails, exploring ancient valleys and fascinated by hot air balloons. For travelers, flying direct to Cappadocia from Istanbul is a very easy and popular option.

Flight time is less than 1.5 hours, and you can find Turkish Airlines and Pegasus flights almost every day. Known as Hatti in the Late Bronze Age, Cappadocia was the homeland of the Hattusha-centered Hittite power.
