13 July 2021 Fashion

Besides the touristic shopping and fashion spots in Istanbul, you can find awesome places which are popular locally.  In this article we are going to name a few of these spots which you can hardly find in touristic shopping flyers or web pages.

Çukurcuma is the main ancient street of Istanbul, and the beautiful neoclassical houses all over this neighborhood fit well with the whole nostalgic theme. This is a lively and authentic district located on the back streets of Beyoğlu district, along the road from Sıraselviler street. Çukurcuma is hosting to more than 80 antique shops besides many art galleries.

Walk through to streets and visit the Museum of Innocence, a giant showcase of the past but not forgotten Istanbul, as well as antique and classic boutiques (quite appropriately). Among the best shops in this region are A La Turca, Objects of Desire and Aslı Günşiray. Wander around and have a snack on Friday when you're done shopping - the pancakes are delicious. One of the interesting spots Serdar-ı Ekrem street is a small cobblestone spot near the historic Galata Tower is probably one of the impressive shopping streets in Istanbul.

There is no big brand here; instead, it hosts a lot of awesome boutiques. You can visit the famous Turkish designer Arzu Kaprol's showroom, the antiques in Kashif Sofa and finally the stylish boutique Atelier 55. And then you can sit down at a local café for sipping coffee and taste the delicious homemade chocolate cake. If you stroll around during the cocktail hour, stop by the terrace of Georges Hotel Galata for a refreshing drink accompanied by the wonderful city view.

The Nişantaşı neighborhood is known for its luxury, local designer's workshops, showrooms and definitely boutique of a world-famous brand. Actually, this spot is one of the favorite places of Istanbul residents for not only shopping but also fine dining. Abdi İpekçi Caddesi is a famous street in Nişantaşı district, which is the first street to host the world-famous and very luxurious brands.

Abdi İpekçi Caddesi is important not only for Turkish standards, but also for its high prices in the real estate business on a global scale. Discover everything from Prada to Louis Vuitton, Turkey's leading luxury brands Vakko and Beymen on Abdi İpekçi Street. If you're a little more conscious of what's coming out of your wallet, just take a tour and walk to Teşvikiye Caddesi to find more affordable stores like Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Scotch & Soda.

The nearby mall City's Nişantaşı has more shops, including Banana Republic and Gap imports.
